| About this ... | - This song is about a man who has a recurring dream in which he is trapped in a maze full of mirrors. He also seems to be lost in time: "have you ever thought the future is the past" and "I only dream in black and white."
- "The Nomad", "Dream of Mirrors", and "The Mercenary" were originally written for Iron Maiden's album Virtual XI, according to their guitarist Adrian Smith. He said there was a fourth song, but he didn't know which one it was and that Steve Harris did not remember either. Assuming no songs were re-written with Bruce Dickinson or Adrian Smith, this leaves "The Thin Line Between Love and Hate" as the only possible song it could be. Harris denied that "Blood Brothers" was one of them. Apparently, former singer Blaze Bayley also co-wrote "Dream Of Mirrors," but wasn't credited.
